Senior Technical Support Officer
Locations: Penrith NSW 2750 /Bradfield NSW 2556 (Hybrid)
Hourly Rate:$91.35 + super ( Working Hours: 7-hour days, 35-hour week)
Contract: 6-months with possible extensions
 
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Support Officer to provide high-level operational and technical support across IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. This is a hybrid role with a mix of onsite and remote work, supporting both Penrith and Bradfield locations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support for Windows Server environments, including monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and escalation to ensure system availability, performance, and security.
  • Perform networking triage and fault isolation across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, coordinating with internal teams, IT Managed Service Providers (MSPs)and vendors.
  • Support Operational Technology (OT) systems, coordinating patching and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial environments while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT MSPs to manage third-party platforms and services, including incidents, escalations, service restorations, and remediation in line with agreed service levels.
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices across IT and OT environments, supporting secure configuration, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with security policies, standards, and control frameworks.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in Windows Server administration and IT support in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts(LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience supporting Operational Technology (OT) systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with vendor and MSP coordination, including incident and service management.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure configurations, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ability to work independently and in a hybrid team environment.
