Program Coordinator / Project Officer – Government Contract
  • Parramatta | Hybrid (50% office)
  • $65 per hour + super 
  • 6-month contract 
We are partnering with a large and highly regarded NSW Government Department to recruit a Program Coordinator to support the delivery of key initiatives and operational programs.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working across administration, coordination, stakeholder engagement and data — ideal for candidates who like being at the centre of activity and keeping projects moving.

The Opportunity Working closely with a Program Manager, you will help coordinate projects, track actions, prepare documentation and ensure information flows smoothly across internal teams and external stakeholders. You’ll play an important role in supporting decision-making by organising information and providing insights.
This position suits someone organised, proactive and comfortable working across multiple priorities in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate program activities, schedules and communications
  • Prepare briefing papers, reports, submissions and correspondence
  • Maintain records, documentation and tracking systems
  • Collect, collate and analyse data to support decision-making
  • Liaise with internal teams, senior stakeholders and external agencies
  • Respond to information requests and coordinate group responses
  • Support program reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with research and training coordination
About You You may have worked as a Project Officer, Program Coordinator, Business Support Officer, Executive Assistant (project environment) or similar.
We’re looking for:
  • Strong organisational and administrative coordination skills
  • Confidence preparing professional documents and reports
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience working with data, tracking actions or reporting
  • Proactive mindset and problem-solving ability
  • Government or large organisation experience 
Working Arrangements
  • Parramatta location
  • Hybrid: 50% office (minimum 2 days per week)
