"Hiring for Skills, Firing for Attitude" -
A Changing Perception

In the past, many people in the recruitment process have placed a higher value on the experience and skills of an applicant. However, most failures in the workplace come down to attitudes, rather than lack of experience.

These days, hiring for attitude is rapidly increasing in service-based industries and jobs that require customer contact because after all, you can teach the right person the skills to do the job, but it’s a lot harder to change someone’s temperament.

When hiring the 'right' people for your business it helps to consider whether the person will fit into the company culture, will they do what it takes to get the job done and be a conscientious worker who cares about the company?

Would you like to attract the best-of-the-best employees?
Place your employer brand at the pinnacle of success NOW!

This session will look at the need to change, adapt and embrace the new recruiting landscape. Over the last 5 years a lot of companies have developed an employee value proposition but few are effectively leveraging the power of their employer brand.

The main focus for this session will be based on future trends and actions. Tim identifies the strategic opportunities to develop an innovative approach to employment communications and focuses on current practices and global case studies required to effectively attract and retain talent.

Tim Grogan's key responsibilities involve Employer Brand development, which he has been delivering for government and private enterprise clients for over 5 years with Adcorp. Tim's strengths lie in his ability to formulate commercially successful outcomes for clients, whilst strategically contributing to creative brand success.

Tim has worked with clients including Telstra, PwC, WorkSafe Victoria, Oxianna, The Federal Group, ANZ Bank (Asia Pacific), Coles and the YMCA in Employer Brand development and deployment.
