"Sexual Harassment, Bullying and Discrimination in the Workplace - Are you Prepared?"

Presented by: Joydeep Hor
19th October, 2010

This seminar will include and provide you with valuable tips on
  • Compliance checklist (what an organisation needs to know with regard to compliances and procedures)
  • Watch-out areas - social networking, off site events etc
  • Policies, procedures and training (from a Legal/HR perspective)

If you receive an allegation of workplace harassment, discrimination, or other misconduct, taking prompt and appropriate action is your legal responsibility. However, while understanding your legal responsibilities is important most of the mistakes in complaint investigations involve the way the parties are treated, what they think is fair, and how the process is communicated and/or implemented.

Joydeep Hor is the Managing Principal and Founder of People and Culture Strategies (www.peopleculture.com.au) his professional qualifications include him being a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute and a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney. With over 14 years experience in advising employers on all aspects of law and strategy in workplace relations, Joydeep advises the Australian private and public sectors, including Fox Sports, the Reserve Bank of Australia, Coachlear, Wrigley and the Audit Office of NSW.

Joydeep acted for Jessica Rowe in her high profile litigation against Channel 10 in 2006. He appears on the Sky Business Channel every week and is on the Advisory Council of
Executive Women's Business, the HR Leader magazine and the CCH HR/IR Editorial Board. He has authored numerous books including Inside Employee Screening, Managing
Termination of Employment, Work Choices FAQ's and How to Attract and Retain Great Employees.
