"Talent Management"

Presented by: Marilyn Smith
Harbour Future Leaders
17th July, 2007.

Talent Management is often part of organisation Succession Planning. While everyone in an organisation is talented, most organisations are adopting a process of identifying some people to be part of high potential Talent Pools; the people that can fill critical organisation positions in the future.

These high potential people are a group that are essential to retain, motivate and develop.

  • How are these people selected?
  • How are they managed and developed?
  • Does it work, or do they leave if you tell them they are high potential?

This presentation will attempt to answer these questions, by reviewing what is happening in Talent Management in 250 Australian organisations in 2007.

So come and join us for the next breakfast meeting at Quay Appointments - Tuesday 17th July, 2007.
