"The Importance of Pre-employment Screening"
| Presented by: |
Peter Stackpole
First Advantage (formely Refsure AB)
1st May 2007
|
How can you improve the quality of your hiring decisions, reduce staff turnover, minimise hiring risk and promote a culture of integrity throughout your organisation?
The cost and damage arising from making the wrong hiring decision can be significant. Small businesses can go under and large businesses can experience damage to their reputation, poor performance, low morale and high staff turnover - all of which can result in significantly reduced profits. Who and how you hire impacts every aspect of your business, so knowing the “true” facts about the person you are hiring is essential.
Peter Stackpole, from First Advantage, will provide you with valuable and practical information on:
- What are the current trends in pre employment screening globally
- What role is technology playing
- What you can check and how you can check it
- How to implement an effective employment screening program into your organisation, while keeping in consideration all legislative requirements, including the Privacy Act.
Peter has over 3 years experience in the pre-employment screening industry and was the Executive Director of Refsure AB prior to their sale to The First Advantage Corporation in July 2006. With Peter as the Managing Director, the company now employs over 140 staff and provides pre-employment screening services to over 500 blue chip organisations across Australasia.
During 2006, Refsure acquired their largest competitor and then in turn, sold their combined businesses to the First Advantage Corporation, a NASDAQ listed company offering a wide range of employer services on a global basis.
With international clients in a diverse range of sectors, Peter’s role as Managing Director, Asia Pacific South is to drive the company towards offering an even broader range of services on a local, regional and global basis.
Peter has a degree in Economics with a double major in Economics and Accounting.
