Neglecting to identify and develop critical talent within your organisation can result in misplaced investment, lost opportunities and role vacancies at senior levels. However, defining and measuring talent can be a challenging task. What does the term "talent" even mean? And how do you identify it? Organisations are becoming increasingly aware that using employee performance data alone is not enough to predict future success. So how do you assess employee potential more effectively? This presentation will explore the issues around getting talent management right, and the importance of measuring the potential of employees to predict success. Through practical examples and case studies, you will see how other organisations are realising the benefits of assessing potential as part of their talent management strategies. Join us at the next breakfast meeting at Quay Appointments - 2nd May 2006. Sarah Kearney is the Managing Director of SHL Australia and has over ten years experience in a high profile consulting role. For the past five years Sarah has held ultimate responsibility for the business performance and best practice profile of SHL Australia and is a senior member of the SHL Asia Pacific and Global Management team.
