Managing Unsatisfactory Performance
Presented by Robyn Mercer from Marana Consulting Group
Are you confident that you have a work environment that supports
good performance?
Have you ever postponed speaking to a staff member about their unsatisfactory
performance because you are not sure how to approach it?
All businesses need to know how to support staff
to achieve good performance and to manage staff fairly and equitably
if performance does not meet the standard needed. Managing the performance
of staff is often some of the most difficult and challenging work
we have to do as managers.
There is sound research to show the factors that contribute to
good performance. Knowledge of these factors allows
managers to support good performance. There are also fundamental
principles to be applied in all situations where you need to manage
unsatisfactory performance. Employers need to know about these principles
to ensure we meet our legal obligations as well
as do the right thing by our staff members.
Robyn Mercer is a Director of Marana Consulting Group and has worked
with business and government for more than 15 years in
a human resources consulting capacity. Robyn specialises in performance
management and performance improvement.
This breakfast seminar will cover:
- Using knowledge of the reasons for unsatisfactory performance
to save money and time when trying to improve staff performance.
- Establishing a workplace that supports good performance.
- Identifying when and how to tackle unsatisfactory performance.
- Ensuing the basic obligations for managing the unsatisfactory
