Detecting Lies in Interviews & Communication
The search for truth is an eternal challenge and is very topical
when it comes to communication and particularly in interviewing.
Whether it be interviewing for staff selection, investigations,
management issues or general fact-finding enquiries the ultimate
goal is to gather accurate information and get to the truth of the
matter.
Recognising the tell-tale signs of deception is an essential skill
for professionals conducting formal or informal interviews and in
general communication. And, with the right training, these are skills
that you can learn.
The presenter of this entertaining and informative seminar is Steve
Van Aperen, who is known and respected throughout Australasia
as an expert in understanding and detecting how people deceive.
He delivers unique training programs through the Behavioural
Training Group and is the Managing Director of Australian Polygraph
Services.
Steve's expertise includes 13 years in the South Australian and
Victorian police departments, training with the FBI and other national
and international investigative authorities. He has conducted hundreds
of interviews ranging from employment screening, criminal investigations,
workplace issues and other investigative matters.
Steve is often referred to as 'the Lie Hunter' by the media
and is a lively and interesting speaker. In this presentation you
can expect to learn some valuable tips in detecting deception that
you will be able to immediately put to use. A MUST ATTEND EVENT!
