Would you like to know the following about yourself?

How old are you really?

Jennifer Blondel
Hosting breakfast seminar on 30 March 2004
  • Effects of stress on your body
  • Your body composition i.e. percentage of fat to muscle
  • Your hydration status
  • If you are deficient in any nutrients
  • Your overall health and vitality of your cells
  • Your 'real' age

A TYPICAL SCENARIO

It's Friday afternoon and it is time for after work drinks. You meet up with your colleagues for a few drinks. After a few cocktails and cigarettes, it's time for dinner.

You start with your meal with an aperitif, followed by a rich pate and pan-fried duck, which is accompanied by a delicious Chardonnay. More drinks follow. You finally get to bed at 1am, forgetting to drink extra water to compensate for the dehydrating effects of alcohol, smoking and salty, high fat food.

The next day, with toxins surging through your bloodstream, you don't feel so good. In fact, you feel almost older. Truth is, you probably are - and not just by a day.

Neurobiologists now say that how you treat your body will determine 65% of how well you are and how fast you age. On one hand, it's a frightening thought; on the other, it means we can now play a greater part in how we age than ever before.

If you want to know where you're at right now, then come along to the next Quay Appointments breakfast seminar on 30th March. Jennifer Blondel, Director of Body Matters, a corporate health and wellness company, will assess your body's condition.

Jennifer Blondel is director of Body Matters, a Sydney-based company that provides corporate health and wellness solutions for individuals and organisations. She is a qualified Naturopath & Nutritionist with over nine years international experience in clinical practice. She operates a busy practice on Sydney's Northern Beaches as well as working within the corporate health sector presenting seminars and offering individual nutritional and stress assessments. Jennifer specialises in stress and weight management, women's health, anti-aging and preventative medicine; and is a member of the Australian Traditional Medical Society (ATMs) which has strict codes of professional ethics, such as continuing education requirements. For further information, contact Jennifer on 0411 049 074 or email jblondel@ihug.com.au.
